Deals are out there if you look around.....

Just in the first few pages on Ebay motors I found the following. Im sure a deeper search and some emails could yield a bike worth looking at further to buy.

2002 - 883(w/1200 kit) - 3600 miles - $5000 buy now price
2006 - 883 - 300 miles - $6200 buy now price
2005 - 1200R - 1359 miles - $5899 buy now price
2000 - 1200 - 4000 miles - $5995 buy now price

Man! Now I see your dilemma! I checked Craigslist in your area and what the hell are people smoking in Jersey? Sporties are EXPENSIVE in your neck of the woods! Good luck with the hunt!

+1 Some guys think their ride is gold! Try to talk the guy down to 5k, if you've got the cash go show it to him, he's more likely to change his mind. Just tell him you found a '96 for 4,500 but you really want the '00 for 5k......might work.

i'd go for the 883 as it's rubber mounted.

I had an indie do my 1200 conversion for 1000 bucks parts and labor.&nbsp\\; I am thrilled with the increase in performance.

Go with the 883 if the money is tight, you will enjoy it just as much as a 1200.

Wouldn't pay it. But it's up to you...your money, your decision, possibly your bike. I'd go newer for less money. Don't let us make your decision for you.
