i have a 78 ironhead im fixin up ,,,i have a set of chrome rocker boxes ,,,front ones a breeze ,back one ,,,,,is another question,,,how do i get it over the valve springs only way i can see is take whole head off or loosen motor so i can partialy remove motor enough to get old one off and new gasket and box on since the frame is so close ,,,,HELPlol

Pull the head and assemble it, then put the head back on.

 

oh,great... i've got a leaky valve cover gasket on the rear,I'm gonna have to take the whole blasted head off? maybe i'll wait till next winter.done enough wrenching this year.
