Default 08 Nightster - What Should I Pay?

I see a lot of 08 Nightsters on the showroom floors of the dealers I visit.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; How much off the MSRP should I expect, given that the 09s are coming in?&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; Or should I wait for the 09s to arrive before I make my deal on an 08?

lol.... You think you'll get one of the hottest bikes going for &lt\\; MSRP.... If you can get the dealer charges waived (on one of the lowest profit margin bikes that HD produces)... Then you are doing good.... The 09s went up in price $200... So if you wait.... Expect to pay

I've always wondered, do extra question marks help in some way?

This is my 1st post so go easy on me .&nbsp\\; I just paid $10,500 OTD for my 2008 nightster in solid black. I origonally went to the dealer just looking and asking questions.&nbsp\\; I asked how much better can you do on this bike right NOW out the door. I was told maybe we could do a few hundred better ,but then add tax, tags, setup fees. I walked around a few minutes and was approached again. I told the salesman I had $10,500&nbsp\\; Cash to spend and thats it. If you want to sell a bike right now , thats what I have to spend.&nbsp\\; A few more minutes and they came back and said we have a deal.&nbsp\\; So rule of thumb, if you have a bank loan or cash in place at the time of the possible deal that gives the buyer alot of power&nbsp\\; to make things line up better . Just remember bikes are HOTT right now. They will sell to someone .

The best I have found was a two tone for $10,372 out the door....that was with a $99 doc fee and 7% tax.&nbsp\\; I walked out the door though when they quoted me an interest rate 2 full points above what another dealership had offered.&nbsp\\; Thats the most important thing - the interest rate not the price of the bike.&nbsp\\; A point or two can mean several hundred dollars.&nbsp\\; The post above mentioned the best point...walk in with solid fianacing in hand...dont depend on the dealer to find you the best rate just in case.

In April, my 2008 Nightster was $9695 plus $270 (setup) plus 8% sales tax for a total of $10,762. This was with a $5000 down payment. They wouldn't really dicker on price.
