RE: 08 Nightster - What Should I Pay?
Sticker price for my '08 Nightster was $10,995 I believe but we paid $10k for each bike ('08 Nightster and '08 1200C) before throwing in all the extra bull. My husband tried hustling them out of more but our salesman came back with a "He won't go any lower" whammy.

Hope that helps.

RE: 08 Nightster - What Should I Pay?
$10K is fair, but the bike is already a year old. 2009 models are arriving daily. It is all the other crap that I would refuse. Doc, delivery, prep, paperwork, dealer fees. Bost in Nashville offers the negotiated price, state tax, $28 plates, and $325 freight from MoCo. http://www.bosthd.com/new_vehicle_de...p\\;pov=921568
Tell your dealer \\;\\\\\\;no dice to the $550 to $595 dealer charge.

I wouldn't expect much off MSRP. I don't know where you're at, but there aren't many 08's around here ... and there probably won't be many 09's either. It definitely helps to have your own financing in place (if you're going that route) - it gives you the ability to control your overall costs down the line (including the likelihood of having your financing terms beat by Eaglemark for an even better deal). Shop around to different dealerships if you have that option (and let them know it) because some will give you a better deal for your business. And while "OTD" rushed negotiations might work for some, it may not be the best route for everyone. I left the dealership with their "best price" and asked them the next day if they would drop it by $500 more. They said no at first, but a few hours later they split the difference with me - which is what I wanted. Just don't feel pressured to buy something you don't want or to buy something when you're not ready - it's not exactly a small drop in the bucket!
