Can anyone talk me out of buying a sportster

RE: Can anyone talk me out of buying a sportster
I've had my Roadster for 18 months now and love it. Yes you do have to spend a bit on it to increase the daily range, but every dollar is a a love dollar. \\;-) \\; I've not heard of ANYONE who bought a Harley and had it totally stock at the year point. \\; Feel free to speak up if you are one of those. \\;
 \\;
I've ridden 400 mile days on it with the mustang seat and highway pegs. \\; Not too concerned about two upping on it. \\;
 \\;
This is my first Harley and I've thought about a Road King or Road Glide, but heck, you have to put money into those to make them yours too.
 \\;
Of course, IMHO.

+1 on the "go with the 1200C"
Lots of full sixed riders on Sportys on this forum.
At 6'4", I extended the forward controls to gain 5" of legroom and put on a Corgin seat to move me back an inch or so. \\; drag specialties and danny grey also have.
 \\;
Wide Glide would be a great option as well, but I am really happy with my sporty.

A Superglide doesn't come with forward controls, and at your size you will need them.
 \\;\\\\\\;
It all depends on what kind of riding you do. \\;\\\\\\; I have a Superglide that I customized out, and am now finishing my hardtail bobber that is made out of \\;\\\\\\;4 sportsters and 1 big twin![]. \\;\\\\\\; The motor is an 883 that was punched out to 1200. \\;\\\\\\; on a light bike, the sporty motor RULES...light, compact, and powerful.
 \\;\\\\\\;
Better go out and ride a few before you spend any money, so you're sure what you want.
