Default Gimp hangers...new cables?

&nbsp\\;
I saw post awhile ago and can't seem to find it now...
&nbsp\\;
ANYWAYS!!
&nbsp\\;
I just got a set of midget gimp hangers for my black nightster and I remember reading someone used the stock cables with installing...is that even possible with 12 inch apes?
&nbsp\\;
These things are pretty friggin sweet...

and look great on the nightsters...it really pulls the forks and bars together for a sleak finish...at least I think so.
&nbsp\\;
Well all you awesome tech heads, lay it down for me! thanks bros!

You can unclip and straighten your brake line out some as well as re-route your throttle/idle cables outside the forks and it may all work for the short term but just getting new cables after you put the bars on and measure is the best solution.&nbsp\\;You'll also have to extend your wiring to run wires internal.
Nice looking bars for sure but over-priced.

+1 Do it right the first time. When I got my 06 1200C first owner did that to it.Looked like S*^T I put it all back to stock what a mess the guy made hanging bk line pulled straight. cables out side the forks wires pulled tight clutch cable clamped up by front gas tank mount nut.&nbsp\\;Throttle and idle cables chafed had to be replaced. bk line was rubbing on side of fender. I don't think it's safe like that plus hurts the resale value of the bike. I paid $6,500.00 for my bike last year with 2400miles on it and a year left on the factory warenty.
