I did consider bending the brake line, to save&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;the price of the new brake line which&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;anywhere from&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;$55.00 to&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;$70.00, and&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;I am sure I'll have to reroute the throttle cable outside as well.

 

Replaced my 1200C bars with a set Dyna low bars and changed the bars only. Brake line long enough if you fab a new clip. Much more comfortable and no ape look.

 

Do you have a close up photo of the clip? I could use a good idea.

 

Fabricated clip from wide wire tie used by phone companies and power service companies.&nbsp\\; Taper ends a little for looks used original screw in threaded hole from old clip.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;Photo of bars shows they are wider, a little higher and&nbsp\\;a little more pull back.&nbsp\\; Very comfortable.

Nice job on the clip you made. The brake line looks good that way. I did the bars today and ended up putting a reflector holder from a bicycle as a temporary clip for my brake line. I bit the bullet and ordered a new one.
