Yup, posting up on the mids works best. NY roads are really bad, so this is a daily routine. Probably why the Nightsters come stock with mids. The engineers were like, damn, that hurts, this thing needs mid controls!
I consider it part of my daily leg workout. The Nightster is a very interactive. It is not a sit back and relax ride.

A few bumps have caught me unaware and slammed my upper and lower teeth together!!! lol
Ouch. But I've actually never bottomed out at speed. Speed-bumps in mall parking lots can be a problem though. Usually I go around the edges of them close to the curb.
But for the record, none of this diminishes my love for the Nightster one lil bit.
