Default How to install a footpeg clip and keep fingers?

Guys I give up, tried everything to squeeze this freaking clip to secure the footpeg but lost half of my nail and almost lost the tip of my finger, and now the the clip is lost somewhere in the house and still could not bend that f$$$$er in place!

How did you guys manage to accomplish such task?! What is the tool I need for this?

PS.: Sorry the double post guys (I opened one on tech&gt\\;other but no one seams to go there, and I need this quick because wife is almost arriving for her first ride as a passenger!

Is that ring going over a stud or the inside of a recessed hole? Either way you will need a set of snap ring pliers. I recommend either getting an inside/outside convertible or get two, one inside and outside snap ring pliers.

Yes, Perfect!!

It's better than losing a nail over! Hope it feels better, I know that looks like it hurts like hell!

Just be careful when expanding the clips as you can bend them and screw them up.

Good luck and take the wifey for her ride!

Sears sells combination snap ring pliers that convert from inside to outside.&nbsp\\; Try this link:

Get the pliers and also get a supply of clips. The clips are about 25c each and are easier to put on new than try to bend an old one.

Snap ring pliers are a must, but a dollar pair of needle nose and grind down the tips will work also.
