I live at a beach resort April-Oct and a friend of mine removed his front fender on a 2004 XL1200R - for 1 day!&nbsp\\; He got a boat load of sand kicked up at him and I would imagine the same thing would happen with road dust elsewhere.&nbsp\\; As for me,&nbsp\\;both fenders stay put!

I don't know what I'm going to do...it just looks so damn good without it, I might just want to look dirty while I ride anyways...hahaha...

I have had my front fender off for a few months now. I haven't noticed much dirt and such, but any little bit of water on the road hits me square in the face!

If you like the look, cut the front part off.&nbsp\\;IMO the bottom part is too short already.&nbsp\\;I get caught in the Florida afternoon thunderstorms every few days and I get soaked by the front wheel.&nbsp\\; My metric bike has a longer fender bottom (and wider block) and I stay much drier on that.

i have a nightster and mine is off...i've noticed at highspeeds on the highway i'll get some crap now and then but nothing to make me wanna put the fender back on, only downfall is if you hit a lil puddle you WILL get it right in the face!

Mine goes on &amp\\;\\\\\\; off depending on if I have the couch on for the ol' lady. No real road dirt/dust issues but water is a whole different story.Carry a bandana with you to&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;tie on&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;the forks if you happen to be in the rain. It will help keep the road water&nbsp\\;out of your face[8D]

+1 for a nice splash in the face from little puddles! I don't drive in the rain but a tiny puddle left behind from a car's air conditioner will get you every time if you don't watch out. Other then that I haven't had any problems on the highway or street. Looks cool and that's all that matters to me!
