You can always just polish the stock ones and they come out pretty good. Took me 2 hours to do mine.

 

just installed them last month...it looks great! cant even tell its a cover! anyone know where i can get a sissy bar setup (backrest, side plates and bar) at a lower price than H-D? used maybe?

 

Tried that but some parts behind the foot holder and foot pegs shifter etc are impossible to reach!

 

I had one on my primary before I changed it out with a solid chrome, food the Hd guys too into thing it was a solid chrome. I am selling my extra chrome primary overlay&nbsp\\; cover if anyone is interested in it.

 

so could powercoat these first then install, i want to do my stuff in black but i dont want the down time while waiting on powercoating.

Did you guys tried the Rocket Chrome covers too? Are they hard to mount (meaning taking the gas tank off)?
