Well it did it to me again yesterday. As soon as it got down to about a gallon in the tank it started sputtering again.&nbsp\\;

It goes to the shop on Tuesday and I go back to my 883.

When it gets down to a gallon doesn't the reserve kick in?&nbsp\\; Could that be it?

 

No reserve on the newer bikes...no pepcock to play w/ either &nbsp\\;

 

It's doing this *after* you've been riding for a bit? hmmm... I'd be interested to hear what the shop says. (I have an '08 XL1200C, too, but mine is within spittin' distance of going in for the 10K.)

And, yeah....why is your 883 more comfortable? Is it just that it's broken in for your butt? My wife just bought an '08XL883C and is getting rid of her Heritage. I'm interested in the differences, too. (She wanted the 883 for better mpg.)

The bars on my 883 are different than his 1200 and the seat is different.&nbsp\\; The 1200 seat is softer but rolls my hips forward.&nbsp\\; So it is more comfortable for me to sit on my 883.&nbsp\\; Not to mention the suspension is set softer I get done on the 1200 and my hands are still vibrating.&nbsp\\; My 883 just has better manners

 

My 883 was a nasty little animal compared to my 1200 in the comfy department.... of course my 883 was the "low" model and had a way crappier seat and far less suspension travel than my new bike.
