I'm assuming you used map FP-0681 with your setup. What changes did V&amp\\;\\\\\\;H give you the first and second time?
&nbsp\\;
Yes I started with 0681. The first time VH said change modes 8 &amp\\; 10 to "0", second time they said change modes 6 &amp\\; 7 to "10" while leaving the previous changes as well. So far it is running decent, engine still seems to have a miss to it though.

I ripped my fuelpak out and took off the short shots and that fixed the back firing I would not purchase a V&amp\\;H product ever again. I can honestly say I disliked V&amp\\;H before I bought my nightster due to friends having V&amp\\;H pipes on street bikes and harleys but now that I have owned a set I am sticking to my feelings about there products. Plus after installing the Fuelpak and realizing how shitty that was to get in there, I wonder how they engineer there products.
Hey Bradley-
What pipes did you end up going with? I know you didn't go back to stock...did you?

Hi all,
I have a 2008 Nightster with VH short-shots,&nbsp\\;high flow cleaner Stage 1 EFI kit and Race tuner.
Only 200 miles on it so far.
The only popping I get is when I release the throttle to slow down in 3rd or 4th.
Have notice that this bike does not like to run 25-40 but loves and excells at 60 plus! Cant wait to see what it can do!
Also was hoping to find someone who has went from the stock rear 150 to a 200 or larger!
Good luck every one, love the Nightster!
PH

Have 0 problems with my V&amp\\;\\\\\\;H short shots/SE Stage 1/ PCIII right now. I did have on the install, it was a firmwear problem. I have throwen this out there before. Make sure your firwear is up to date. I dont know what the fuel pak has but im sure it may have some updated firmwear.

&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;If you just install the pipes and its poping, might want to take to the shop might be another issue. The V&amp\\;\\\\\\;H pipe can be put in with no problems. Its only after the Air filter is change that you should have issues. And that is were the fule pak or PCIII would come in.

Unhappy Nightster backfiring through the intake

My nightster is backfiring through the intake on cold starts and seems to be shaking alittle more than usual.... it runs alittle ruff when i hold a steady mph like 35 for example.... it just sounds as if it is missing... last night it actualy cut out when riding... i shut it off and started right up while moving and i just keeped going.... i replaced the spark plugs and wires.... i have a k&N intake V&H FP and SS'S did it all my self and programed it acording to the code sheet.... ran fine for about 400 miles with these mods.. now its doing this.... what could be the deal?
