I just picked up a 2006 XL883R with a pair of 53050-04B latching saddlebags.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; The bags lock and latch fine but the outside ring around the latches is cracked on both bags.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; The bike only has 2100 miles on it but I guess the bags could be older.
Anyway, does anyone know if the latches or just the outer dress rings can be purchased and replaced?

I was researching this same problem and dredged up this post, so thought I'd reply with info I found:
The outside ring (Bezel) was superseded with the same part # but adding an "A" at end.
It could be and this is just a guess the newer part is better?

According to this 53050-04B Instruction Sheet:

Bezel, right 53126-04A
Bezel, left 53131-04A

I ordered them from zanottis, and will post if they fit/work any better...

 

Just reporting back in to say the bezel parts were easy to install and fit just right.
It may take a couple of years to determine if they hold up to the elements any better and hopefully resist cracking...
