Perch,
Ride it when you can - as much as you can.&nbsp\\; But for me - a 1.5 mile ride - I would use my bicycle.

Um ... No.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; Actually, I was feeling like I was abusing it by leaving it in the garage during the day MOnday through Friday, so I started taking it to work.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;It does get lots of love and attention and&nbsp\\;RIDING any time I am not working. So - I think I will not be shipping it anywhere

&nbsp\\;It's not going to hurt a thing you just need to make certian you keep up on your oil changes and make certian that you regularly go out on a longer ride to get rid of all the water that builds up in the&nbsp\\;oil from condensation, just watch for any white milky looking crap on your dip stick, if you see some it's time for a good long ride to cook the moisture out of the oil.
&nbsp\\;I ride my bike about 3 miles to work and have been for 8 years and it hasn't hurt a thing.

Thank God I don't live that close to my job. I would be going nuts not getting more use from my ride.

You and your bike should be fine with your current use.

A Battery Tender II would take care of the short trip battery issues. Mine is visable on the wall.

4 block ride for me, about 3 minutes, doesn't even get warm. But the way home for some reason is 25 miles.

&nbsp\\; I usually start the bike and leave within seconds, not minutes...I do travel about 12 miles to work (and usually a bit longer on the ride home)...My neighbor is a Harley owner/rider and I don't have a lot of others in the immediate vicinity, but I prefer to leave quickly, especially during the warmer months...
