Just buy the new 09 Sporster it's going to have a 6sp tranny, 90 HP, liquid cooled and 1400cc. OK I just had to stur the pot!
You sir are a bad man[8D]&nbsp\\;The 09' porbably won't differ much from 08' but the 2010 maybe []

I think it's only a matter of time when they put the 6 speed in the sporters.&nbsp\\; Maybe were not complaining enough.

Thanks for the consoling words, Harley Berri!&nbsp\\; I wouldn't drop $2,200 for a six speed either, but I do wish mine had a 6th gear....&nbsp\\; Liquid-cooled would be nice, too...&nbsp\\; Don't need 1400 cc though - or do I?&nbsp\\; LOL
&nbsp\\;
Say, Twistie, I LOVE that green color on your scoot - WAY nice!

Funny thing when i first got my sporty it seemed to have so much power and speed I didnt think I'd use 5th all that much except on longer high speed trips,
after 1500km i find myself looking for that 6th gear on the freeway.
&nbsp\\;
wouldnt pay $2200 for 1 more gear but it should maybe be standard fitting these days

a tach is one thing I never used weather it be a car or a bike but why the hell is there no freaking gas gauge!!!!!!!!! And to stay on topic I would also like a sixth gear, I find myself clicking into 6th all the time and its never ever there

LOL -&nbsp\\; Bradley, I can't begin to tell you how often I have tried to shift into a non-existant 6th gear - always leaves me feeling stupid and dissatisfied.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;

Gas guages are for cars.... bikes haven't needed them for over 100 years
