Default H/D Oil Dipstick with guage

I bought one for my 07, when installed it doesn't fit like the picture in the catalog shows on pg 124 item C. 2008 catalog.

Also there is not a measurement indicator on the tube that goes down into the oil to indicate the level, or when to add 1 qt. the old OEM stick had a full, inbetween, and add mark on it.

WTF how much more would it of taken to put some marks on the stick!

I have one of those on my '07.&nbsp\\; I can't address your issue about the fit because I haven't seen the photo in the catalog, but mine fits just fine on the bike.&nbsp\\; As to the oil level indicator, there are two lines lightly&nbsp\\;scored into the tube, you have to look closely to see them.

Look close.&nbsp\\; On mine there are just two lines on the temp probe.&nbsp\\; one is the add mark, the other is the full mark.&nbsp\\; It is somewhat difficult to see.

Mine fits good and I really like it. If you look close you will see the marks...

Alright after work I got to messing with it and it did fit in like the picture in the catalog, now if I can get the mother F"er out I will see if there are indeed&nbsp\\; 2 marks, the eyes just aren't as good as they used to be. Looks like its a bitch to get it back out of the oil tank to check the oil level, and I agree with the previous poster I do think its a piece of ****.

They must make good ones and bad, I must of got lucky. Mine twist in and out way easier then the stock pop-up one did, the&nbsp\\;stock one felt like it was going to brake befor it would twist back out. If you got a bad one, maybe they would take it back and give you a new one...

I've had one on my 2007 1200C since it had 500 miles, now 4,840 miles, no issues at all. I ran 75 mph for one hour today and when I exited I 95 it indicated 210 degrees. That's right in line with what others are seeing. It does have hi and low marks that are easily seen.

I bought one of them also, and while refueling one day I spilled some gas on the lens, I didn't realize at the time it was plastic and now part of the lens is fogged.
