Power Washing?

RE: Power Washing?
Don't use the brush as they are often full of grit. Don't use high pressure around axles etc as it tends to "unlubricate" them. I bring a microfiber mitt that zI wash after every use. I get \\;bike soapy, wipe down with mitt, rinse and then dry with microfiber towel, starting with painted surfaces and working down. Takes $2 worth of quarters and 15 minutes. Before we get flamed I will add I do also hand wash and keep a high quality wax/cvhrome polish on it...but car wash is a good solution between detailings. \\; John

RE: Power Washing?
why pressure wash it? \\; It takes me a total of 20 minutes to wash it by hand...
 \\;
bought bucket, mquires soap, microfibre sponge, and absorber shamee(sp)...

I would not use a power washer on my nightster, I know the should take it, but I wouldnt chance it. \\; I put a really good coat of wax on the bike and every wash is really simple after that. \\; I would be afraid the pressure washer would strip something on the bike...some of those things are set at 5000 PSI!!!!! \\; I use my pressure washer to strip paint on my house...
 \\;
my 2 Cents....wouldnt do it....
