Default Power Washing?

Could I goof anything up by going to my local car wash and blasting the bike down?

It is FILTHY and would take forever to do by hand.&nbsp\\;

Don't use the brush as they are often full of grit. Don't use high pressure around axles etc as it tends to "unlubricate" them. I bring a microfiber mitt that zI wash after every use. I get&nbsp\\;bike soapy, wipe down with mitt, rinse and then dry with microfiber towel, starting with painted surfaces and working down. Takes $2 worth of quarters and 15 minutes. Before we get flamed I will add I do also hand wash and keep a high quality wax/cvhrome polish on it...but car wash is a good solution between detailings.&nbsp\\; John

I would NEVER subject my scoot to a pressure wash. Too many electronics to get muffed up by the high pressure spray. You might get lucky for a while with it, but, when luck catches up to you, you'll wish you had only washed it by hand.

Man... I hope it doesn't hurt anything... I do it all the time... used to do it by hand but the car wash is way faster.

stay away from the turn signals, exhaust, under seat area, and speedo, and you should be fine.

When I get motivated enough to drag out the pressure washer that's what I use.&nbsp\\; I'd have to check the manual but I'm pretty sure that there is nothing on the bike that will melt so I think you'll be fine.

If you use MoCo approved cleaning supplies it may not void the warranty.

You can use the high pressure just make sure you cover the exhaust with a plastic bag and an elastic band. Avoid getting the high pressure too close to the bike, just brush it within a certain distance and you will be fine.

why pressure wash it?&nbsp\\; It takes me a total of 20 minutes to wash it by hand...
&nbsp\\;
bought bucket, mquires soap, microfibre sponge, and absorber shamee(sp)...
&nbsp\\;
I would not use a power washer on my nightster, I know the should take it, but I wouldnt chance it.&nbsp\\; I put a really good coat of wax on the bike and every wash is really simple after that.&nbsp\\; I would be afraid the pressure washer would strip something on the bike...some of those things are set at 5000 PSI!!!!!&nbsp\\; I use my pressure washer to strip paint on my house...
&nbsp\\;
my 2 Cents....wouldnt do it....
