Dude, im interested in doing this. But my question is, whats up with the top of the handle bar clamp? Did you machine it, or did you buy it?
&nbsp\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\;
I don't want to get rid of my idiot lights.
&nbsp\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\;
Also, how did you mount that autometer bracket to your frame?
Read my post above (post #36 w/ the pic of the riser clamp)

I bought the top clamp on ebay.
You don't need to get rid of the idiot lights, just relocate them.
The Autometer bracket attaches to the coil bracket.
&nbsp\\;
I dont know how I missed that post. haha.
Anyways, I was thinking the idiot lights were intergrated into the top clamp. I didnt see that you had them zip tied to it. That just won't fly for me. I do however work in&nbsp\\;a machine shop, so im sure I can find someone to help me "create" something.
I was thinking about putting them between the clamp and the gas tank. There should be enough room and it would be easy to make something out of sheet metal.

Elvis Nixon,
&nbsp\\;
First off, you bike is sick dude! I like a lot of the things you have done with it. Thanks for sharing the info about your mods.
&nbsp\\;
I was wondering what bag that is you have that goes over the battery cover?
&nbsp\\;
Thanks,
Greg

The bars are Flanders Cafe bars and the grips are old Oury motocross grips like we used in the 70's. Very comfy. I'll post more detailed pics when the new risers get here and I get everything cleaned up.
&nbsp\\;
Did you have to get new clutch and brake cables or did the existing ones work? Also, do the bars hit the tank at full lock?
&nbsp\\;
Thanks,
Greg

Dude!!&nbsp\\;I am so going to do this to my nightster. Can you post the link from darkside or whoever you got this info from. It looks really simple I just don't have the time to mess around being the nightster is my only vehicle at this time. May be a good winter project so I can get all the parts gathered up and put it on. I can get the speedo mount and riser clamp. I just need the details on moving the stuff. Your info is great. but I can't get enough info and am a little nervouse messing with my bike.
&nbsp\\;
Thanks,
&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\ ; Mark

For those bars did you need to get different clutch, throttle cable, or brake lines? and can I run the factory turn signal mounts. Don't want to get too crazy. Thanks,

Ok, so I am slightly confused. (imagine that) Dosent the speedo sit in a bucket in it's orginal form. And sealed from the weather? That bracket just holds the speedo, and the bottom is open?

I just got done with this relocation last night (thank you Mr. Nixon) and yes, stock&nbsp\\;it comes in a protected sealed bucket mount.&nbsp\\; What I did was put the bottom cover back on the speedo to cover the plugs/wiring, wrap the white sides of the speedo&nbsp\\;nicely with black electrical tape&nbsp\\;and put the stock rubber seals back on the top and bottom.&nbsp\\;Since the new clamp also has a rubber gasket, this black rubber gasket covered the middle of the speedo&nbsp\\;so all but a small amount of the speedo is covered by rubber seals and what is visible is covered by electrical tape.
&nbsp\\;
While it sounds a bit ghetto, it looks very clean and you wouldn't notice unless you took it apart.&nbsp\\; PS everything was painted in glossy black, and you will need a new riser which member FishBoy is fabricating so you don't have your dummy lights floating loosely.
&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;here are a few pics of mine
