I PURCHASED A CHROME PRIMARY COVER KIT AND YOU NEED TO REMOVE THE CLUTCH CABLE FROM THE HAND GRIP FOR INSTALLATION. I HAVE A 2007 SPORTY HOW DO I REMOVE THE CLUTCH CABLE AND THEN WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO REINSTALL IT.

That makes no sense.&nbsp\\; I don't understand why you'd need to remove the clutch cable from the handlebar when working on or replacing the primary cover on the motor.

+1

But if really you need to remove it from the lever, easy. Loosen the clutch adjustment fully. Then you have to pop of the little retaining ring fom the pin on the underside of the clutch lever assembly. If you're careful, you can reuse this, although the service manual says not to. (I do, though.) Then slide the pin up and out of the lever assembly. Then you should be able to grab the clutch lever and pull it out. While you're at it, lube that cable.

Danny, I am installing the chrome primary cover trim. On this piece there is a hole that the clutch cable needs to fit thru. What is the best way to get it on.

Cut cable, insert through hole, then tape together.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; Sorry had to bite on that one.
