Default replacing gas tank decal

Can any tell me what is the safest and easiest way to remove a gas tank decal.

Depends on whether its a decal on top the paint or clearcoated over or if its just a tank badge. Just decals can be peeled off or use decal remover (clearcoated over decals means new paint). If you have a tank badge like most of us a hair dryer to heat it followed by slding fishing line behind it will take it right off then just clean the sticky residue off.
