Getting Rid of the Olive/black...whatttt..Thats the color i was thinking about getting...I have a 2009 nightster on order..Im buying thru-the military..I get out of Baghdad in about 5 to 6 mons..And i am really looking forward to getting the bike...Its just one day I like the black/silver paint..Then the olive/black..Then the vivid black...I was hopeing for some type of Red paint option....Thanks for the information...[sm=biker.gif]
You want vivid black, it is much faster than the denim finishes.&nbsp\\; All the clear coat lets it cut through the air faster

you have to wait until July when the truth is unveiled.
That being said I also heard the olive was going away.
I get a lot of gawkings and compliments with my olive denim. Everybody loves this color. If the do stop olive, then I guess it would make our bike "rare"![8D]

Well THAT'S pretty specific! The new colors sound good. Now let's see how they look! Also some colors will look different on the updated website than they look in person. Some will look better, and some will not. The Black with Pewter Pearl stripe sounds promising. We'll just have to see. What's the date on the model announcements? Last year it was July 8?

Oh, that's an interesting tidbit of info. The Sportster could "change a little bit"...and the MSRP of the Nightster increases by a grand? And '08 Sportster models stopped being manufactured a couple or so months ago? Hmmmmmm....maybe the increase in price of the Nightster&nbsp\\;is due to the huge popularity of those bikes, but a full $1K? Come on, Harley is either gambling that the market will gladly bear the increase and/or it has"changed a little bit". Harley is well known for being able to keep secrets from the public. Sometimes they hit a home run, and sometimes they strike out trying. And sometimes they are satisfied with a base hit. The economy is tanking, gas prices are outrageous with no viable solution in sight, the motorcycle industry is is in a downturn, but "economical" motorcycles are being purchased...Harley's advertising bread and butter, the Big Twin is being crunched, and I imagine Sportster sales may increase? Just speculation, but I'm thinking SOMETHING noticeable might change for at least a couple of members of the Sportster family...XR1200?&nbsp\\; That engine in a Nightster? Yeah, it's fodder for discussion all right. I'm not looking for DRASTIC changes just yet, though.
