Default I like my stock seat and suspension...

Anyone else like their stock setup. For me, I only added a 1" spacer to the
front springs and extended my forward controls 5" and changed to drag bars.
Otherwise the stock seat and suspension works for me.
&nbsp\\;
I read about a lot of people who hate the stock seat, the stock shocks, ect.
I personally find the factory firm ride to be right for me at 6'1" and 190lbs.
Either that or I'm a glutton for punishment.. I guess I just think a Sporty
should ride like a bike, not a dresser..

I'm pretty happy with the stock seat and shocks.&nbsp\\; I thought about a new seat that looks better, but they are a bit pricey.&nbsp\\; I considered the Sundowner, but can't get past how ugly it is.

I actually liked mine also ('07 Roadster). I bought a Sundowner for the wife, but use the stocker when it's just me. As for the suspension, I weight 270# and it felt really good in the twisties, including the Dragon, and I was very aggressive. I'm not saying it's perfect, just that it allowed me to get away with some things, that at first, scared the **** out of me because I didn't think the Roadster would do it. It was rock solid going through those curves (I&nbsp\\;left a 1/4" chicken line in the tires, so you know I was laying it over). I've since switched to progressive 412s, but only because I wanted the black &amp\\; chrome. The 412s are nice though

Didn't like the stock seat much. Rode 330 miles with stock seat on one bike with mids and 900 on my bike with forwards and the tailbone just didn't like it. The rest of it fit ok meaning that I think the seat pan is ok, it just needs a little modification for my particular butt. Reach two up now since I'm a short guy and it's much better than stock. Again for MY BUTT. If you like the stock seat then by all means KEEP IT! No sense in wasting money on another one.

Being 6'1" I guess I fit the seat just fine.&nbsp\\; Nothing to compare it to as far as different body types.. Just for me it works.&nbsp\\; I've done 550 miles in 11 hours and felt I could have kept going.&nbsp\\; I'll consider myself lucky.

I'm with you... the stock set up is fine with me. I've had some long hours in the saddle and had no ill effects.

I thought the stock seat was poop deluxe. The suspension was liveable.

I don't mind the stock suspension and seat on the Nightster. It's hard but not killing although it seems to be a little too hard for some folks.
Luckily, no pain in my butt even with my 50 mile commute. But I do post up on the pegs for da big bumps. That's when the mid control placement comes in handy!
Up with the bumps makes goin' easier![sm=bounceybounce.gif]
