Default Inspection Cover Leaking Again

WTF, I tried putting teflon on the screws,changed gasket and o-ring and the F@#$in thing is leaking again. Any advise to stop this ****. 2006 1200C

You haven't got to much oil In there have you?.....If not,I'd put a small amount&nbsp\\;of non-hardening sealant on the cover.

Guess you're unlucky.....just changed my oil and didn't bother to change the 'o' ring, and no problems...put loctite on the screws,but I doubt If the holes go right through to let oil through.......don't know what else you're problem could be....unless you've got the wrong 'o' ring (check with the old one)....or the surfaces aren't true,which would be odd.

What cover Derby? If it is a custom u may have to true it or go with better sealer......

Bossman it's the primary chain inspection cover. Any ideas to stop the leak?

Lay it flat on the floor and make sure it's not warped. If it is, that could be part of your problem.

You could be overtightening the screws, they only need 5-8lbs. of torque.
