Does anyone know when the XR 1200 will be released in the USA? 2009 maybe?

If you are looking for it on the USA Harley site don't bother. It won't be there. Try the Fredch site and you'll get a look at it.&nbsp\\;

I wonder how it is selling in Europe?&nbsp\\; I can't imagine very well, as it is styled on the old flat track bikes and I don't think they even do that type of racing in Europe. If they are trying to appeal to the sport bike crowd over there I believe that they are under powered and overpriced for that segment IMHO. Too bad they don't want to bring it over here, I think it would actually sell well.&nbsp\\; I would seriously consider buying one.

flat tracking is alive and well in europe, often more so than it is here...

in fact i havent heard of it until i looked it up about a few years ago, and my sources of info were from mostly european sites about the sport.

I am guessing it will never happen...they would be stepping on Buells toes.&nbsp\\;Cycleworld mag stuck&nbsp\\;the XR1200&nbsp\\;front page and gave it 4 out of 5 stars.. It will be a big seller in Europe. I guarantee you eventually HD will quit selling sportsters in the US all together pending what happens over the next three years with the economy. Image! also is the other big player in the model line up. &nbsp\\;They won't stop with the Sportster, my guess is they will widdle it down to the top three selling models. US market is down 18% in three years and the EU is up 30%. They said it themselves, they want their bikes to be nitche desirable&nbsp\\;high&nbsp\\;end bikes again. EFF'em! &nbsp\\;
