Smart Security System
#23
Brrr, that's what I hate most, rednecks car alarm. Honks horn every time it is armed/disarmed. Horn is there for emergency situations, designed to be loud and noticeable to avoid accidents. What's the emergency if someone arms the car alarm?

Did a bit of research and found this step by step guild which works (09 iron) have been told will work on other models.
To enable or disable the arming/disarming chirp on the smart siren,*
Step 1.Turn the ignition key on/off 3 times. Do this three times, on-off,on-off,on-off (I did this fast, no waiting) than proceed to do the following three times
Step 2.Turn on and leave on until the security lamp goes out (little red key symbol on speedo) Once the lamp goes out, turn the key off. The security lamp will come on again. (i waited till the turn signals flashed twice) Once the lamp goes out, turn the ignition switch on.
After this cycle (just step 2) has occurred 3 times, you will hear a single chirp, the Chirp feature will change to enabled or disabled, depending on the current status.
Give it a go it works, two chirps for arming one chirp for disarm
