I asked a mechanic at my dealer and he said although it says in the manual that the chirp can be turned off, actually they cannot find a way to turn it off.

Is there a way to adjust sensitivity of the smart alarm system I have the complete system and I like it and it works great including the rechargeble Fob But I can bump the bike and work on it if I wanted to without setting off the alarm so there has to be a way to set sensitivity DrDAve4

Nope, but there is something called transport mode, methinks, it is still armed but won't go off, see owners manual.

i have this too..

H-D® Security System Pager Receiver II - Battery Powered

Designed to complement the Smart Siren II, this pager Receiver can be linked to the vehicle with no additional installation. The Page Receiver II monitors the Security System operation, and features multi-color LED indicators to display unique codes for arming, disarming and trigger modes. The Range Conformation Signal (RCS) confirms and displays the signal reception. Hi-efficiency FM circuitry provides excellent reception, even in buildings and parking garages. Maximum effective range is up to 1/2 mile. The Pager Receiver II features selectable vibration or audible modes. The silent paging mode feature allows selectable programming trigger modes to avoid activating the siren. The convenient built-in ultra-bright white LED flashlight helps light the way. The compact, lightweight receiver can be carried in your pocket, or clipped to a belt up to 1-3/4 inches wide. Kit includes receiver, holster, and one 3V lithium battery. Operates in conjunction with the Security System Fob and Smart Siren II.

This is true, I don't know a way to make it work with the horn like on a car.

Over in the bagger section there is a great write-up that shows how to add a cheap radio shack audible alarm to a bike with a passive alarm system installed. I wonder if I could do the same on a sporty?

I have the Radio Shack chirper on my bike. It is about $6 and works well. It just doesn't have the battery back-up like the Harley one. I just pushed the wires into the connector and used the cap to hold them in place.
