Dont buy \\;one from a hardware store!! \\; It is a designed strength, it is MADE to strip the stud and NOT the head... If you goto the store and buy a higher grade stud it could damage your head...Goto Harley spend 5 bucks and get a stud that was designed to go into that head!!!

Okay, I'll try again...

I managed to get the die on well enough to get the nut started and finally, after two days of sweating in my garage, got the pipes on. I'm going to take her in for servicing so I'll definitely get the pros to replace the stud.

ps The stock pipes sound great... just like the Rebel I've always wanted (ducking).
