My Thundermax took a poop on me so I have to send it in for them to figure out what is wrong with it.&nbsp\\; I don't want to be without my bike for a couple weeks so I think I'm gonna go to the dealer tomorrow and have them give me the Stage 1 download.&nbsp\\; I'm running V&amp\\;H short shots and a Screamin' Eagle A/C.&nbsp\\; Anyone have a similar combo?&nbsp\\; And if so...how does it run?&nbsp\\; It's gonna be a temporary thing but I don't want to spend money on it if it isn't going to be worth it.

Haven't had the download myself because what I found out from researching around here was that it wasn't worth the money. But if thats the only way to get your bike up and running as quickly as possible, might be a have to situation. If the stage 1 is all your gonna do then you might look into the nightrider xied's. Lots of input in the tech section from folks who have tested them on almost every configuration you can think of.

 

I have the exact setup you have with the HD download. runs like a champ! pops a little bit until warmed up though. I have no complaints.

 

might be worth a look, but will the thundermax still work with the ecm having a stg 1 program, cause if you are gonna have to have it reflashed to stock, the cost then becomes double. you might consider a fuel pak, and then resell the fuel pak when you are done with it.. at least you can resell a fuel pak, there is no refunds on hd downloads.

 

I talked to the dealer today and they basically told me the Stage 1 download won't compensate for an A/C AND pipes.&nbsp\\; So I swapped my stock A/C back on and I might go get my ECM flashed in the morning.&nbsp\\; Why the hell would HD make a "Stage 1" download that doesn't compensate enough for Stage 1?
