I use Bug and Tar remover and it doesn't hurt the paint.[/align][/align]I have used but not recommending lighter fluid it works and it didn't hurt the paint just a little dangerous if you smoke![/align]

Seems like I used goo-gone for this. Not totally sure, that was about 2 years ago. Too many miles, and too many beers to remember those details.

everybody has good advise but you can also use lighter fluid for a zippo works great for that or removing stains frommaterial.

Let it soak a bit, go after it with a real soft cloth you don't mind trashing, reapply when it dries up a bit.

That will probably also remove the clear coat from the paint.

Not sure if you can get it in the states but the very best thing for removing adhesive is Eucalyptus Oil, Aussie stuff, has many other uses too,

Depending on what the adhesive is on, I sometimes use nail polish remover.
