My 87 XL is starting to drive me crazy. It leaks, badly, I never really cared too much as it's in character of the rat bike that it is. I had to do base gaskets a couple months ago, so it got torn doen and put back together with the good gaskets, that went well, no more leaks there.

While I was "in there" I noticed that two of my oil lines were pretty much shot. I ordered SS lines and installed them last week, which was more of a bitch job than I had expected, but I thought it would def cure my oil leak. Changed the lines, and all the fluids with amsoil, cleaned everything up nice and parked it over night.

Come back the next day and there's a good sized puddle under it again. Since everything was clean I was able to trace it to the primary/ transmission breather hose; it's losing trans fluid. I don't get it?!? What's causing this leak? Isn't that just to release atmosphereic pressure? I'm losing a lot out of there!
I pulled the primary cover and don't see anything obvious... am I missing something? There's some kind of baffle there.

Hoping you guys can steer me right here... I'm about out of ideas and don't really want to pull out the trans!! Advice is greatly appreciated!
