I get that buffeting sometimes depending on the wind so I raised my left hand to feel where it was hitting my helmet, seems to be turbulent right at the top but only with certain wind conditions. Here's a better deal on the HD QD shield http://chicagoharley.com/shop/advanc...;x=39&y=15

Hello! After a 30 year lay off, I got back on the road again. Question is: I bought a 1200 cutom with a windshield that was not made by Harley. My first ride in 30 years was about 10 miles. My head felt like it was in a paint shaker. I got home and pondered what was doing it. I took the windshield off and found that it was the problem. I am 6' tall. This windshield measures about 19" high by about 12" incheswide at the very top. Any recommendations on another windshiel would be appreciated. Bill

I ride the highway alot and I use a windshield. It buffets my head around some too!
