Damn! Can't ride until I get a nut!
...Get ur mind outta the gutter.....Damn! [sm=smiley2.gif]
After riding the Colonial Parkway today with the better half I was noticing a rattling sound. Tonight as I was putting away the scoot I again noticed the rattle but this time with the engine off. I traced it to my rear cylinder exhaust pipe mounting flange holding the pipe to the head was missing the rear nut and the fwd one was finger loose. The rattle was the flange hitting the heat shields!
I hope I didn't damage the engine in any way. I can't ride until I get to the stealership to get a new one. Better yet I'm gonna get 4 of them as I see this as a continuing trend!

Hi dr plastic i had the same problem with my sporty after i had my 1200 conversion done.I tightened them up 3 times and came loose every time. The last time i tightened them up i used a dab of loctite on each one.Its been a thousand miles since i did it and they are still tight. And like yours it was only the flange on the rear cylinder.Im not tellin you to use loctite but it worked for me.
