RE: doesthe xied really work?
I have Python 3's, SE A/C and xied's on my 883. I have only had them on about a week now. I have noticed low end throttle responce has increased dramatically. All the way up thru 3rd I can crank the throttle and boy does it sh*t and get. Not had them on long enough to check how they effect MPG, but will check it over the next few weeks. Have not had the chance to see how upper end is effected, since I usually wind it up quickly to about 70 and cruise. Hope thise helps, and got the xieds for 103.99 shipped.

RE: doesthe xied really work?
I did a lot of research over in the tech forum. Some of those guys tested them on various bikes, with various configurations as far as A/C and pipes. Then checked the temp on front and rear heads and found an almost 100 deg drop in temp. This to me is a huge drop and worth the investment. Go over there and see, there's a thread on the xied's you can check out.

I tried XIEDs on my 07 1200R that already had SE/AC, SE slip-ons, and V&H fuelpak and didn't notice much improvement. However, on my stock 08 EGC, it made a huge difference in off-idle acceleration and steady cruising. It runs so good, it's the only change I'm making to it. The XIEDs address the closed-loop AFR, changing from 14.7:1 to 13.8:1.
