First bike? Well I rode a few dirtbikes at my uncles house all the time growing up, but first street bike was my dad's 03 Suzuki Volusia 800cc. Wasn't mine but I rode it for about 3 months and put more miles on it than he did in 4 years. MY first bike is the one in my sig, got it last July.

My first bike was a 50 cc mini at age 13. I went from that to a trials bike, to a 250 cc Honda street & trail. I finally got a Harley when I was 17. It was a 175 cc dirt bike. I've had several street bikes since then. Then an 82' shovel and now my 07' deluxe.

First was a '73 Yamaha RD 350 2 stroker - serious little rice rocket, then another Yamy'79 RD400 Daytona Special - scary fast - had that little missle up to 126mph.Really got bit by the 2 stroke street / cafe racer - ran it up at Loudon in the RD class road races. Got hit by a car a few years later and kind of took a break. Later moved on to a Kawi 750LTD and now to the XL Custom - different universe and no looking back. I do miss lifting the front end in 5th gear with those RD's - talk about peaky narrow band HP. Scary.

My 1st street bike was an 06' Shadow VLX 600Deluxe. They quit making it last year for some reason but it was a great choice for learning. I still have it. Dawn has been learning slowly on it now so I'm hoping she takes to it. She didn't like the Sportster weight on the 1I bought her.
