I wanna keep the sam shocklenght as stock, what size should I look for? 13' ? ?? Any shock model you would recommend me?

go to there website... i believe that they have a webpage that tells you what the stock shock size is for all bikes and years....

I'm trying to make a decision as well.... I'm torn between the new 430's or 418 or 440....

I just got a set of Progressive 412s for my 2004 XL883.
I went with the 13" shocks. I wasn't looking to lower my bike.

Measure your curret shock eye to eye.
One of the site sponsers, Eastern Performance is the place to shop for the Progressives.

The 13" should be the correct replacement lenght. The 412 series are the least expensive and work great. Try here to get the p/n and then search the net for best price.

Eastern Performance (site sponsor) usually has a good price and has great customer service.

Pat, I went with the 13.5" Progressive 440 Standards, if I had it to do over I would get the 13s. I had to grind the outside retention washer flat to keep it from just barely touching the muffler when the bike is jacked up. It had 11.75 inch stock shocks, I wanted more travel. On the front I put progressive springs and left the spacers full length and used BelRay 7w fork oil. It rides like its on a cloud now compared to stock.

Stock for that bike is 13.25". So you will either have to go with 13" progressives or 13.5" progressives. Up to you.
