I may be crazy, but I ended up giving him $5800.

I hope you didn't pay 6k for that. If you did keep it forever and ride the **** out of it otherwise you will never feel like you got your moneys worth.

I can't see spending that much for a 10 year old bike but after looking into it thats the price there going for (personal sales) for that model. congrats on the new bike hope you like it.

Congratulations. That is a nice bike! However, I am biased. Except for the seat, it looks like a copy of the one in my garage (including forward controls and sissy bar). I think you will enjoy it!

Thanks GB. I got to put about 75 miles on it today and... wow. What a blast it is to RIDE a bike again. I mean its totally different from the Dyna, and in a good way. The Dyna is awesome in a 2 up situation but this is just pure fun again. Light... I didnt know how much I felt the weight of the Dyna at times like turns. Before I rode the Sportie today I spent about 30 min adjusting the handle bars and lever positions. The bars were pushed forward too far and once I realized this and pulled them back, my steering problems went away. So I took off today in the wind and clouds... no windshield, but wearing clear goggles. Maybe it was feeling the wind in my face again.... I did forget how much minute debris gets kicked up riding. I appreciate the w/shield more. The one thing Im having difficulty adjusting to is the fact it doesnt sound anything like what you think a Harley should. Its like riding a hot rod sewing machine!
