My brother has a Electra Glide and I used it till I got my Sporster. I was looking for a Glide not a Sporster but with the largerfuel tanks and the rubber mounts the sporster caught me. I love the Glides and if I could afford one and no you don't have to be 75 to ride one that would come from someone who has not ridden one, the ride and the way they handle is great. I would still keep my Sporster it too is a ball to ride.

Buy a sport bike and you won't have to worry.

I switched from an EG Standard. To be honest, I liked that a lot better....but funds are low tright now. Eventually I would like to get a Heritage.

To each his own. EGs are awesome.

I love my sportster, but I got a chance to ride a friend's 1991 streetglide (even though it was just a few miles so I really am not experienced) but it was so smooth! Actually couldnt believe he let me on it, he's like one of two people Id let run mine. But Id love to take one out on a long trip, if you have the money and its what you want, go for it. Would love to hear some reviews if ya get it.

Actually, you have to have more than 500 posts on the system before you can ask a question like that.

I would say keep the sporty and buy a older, used cheaper e glide. Use the sportster for around town and the glide for 2 up and highway distance riding. They are very differnt bikes. I currently have a Street glide and a Super glide. After riding the street glide the super glide really feels small and nimble. I use one for around town and the other for highways.
