Default Freakn' New Tires Under Lock and Key

So I get my new tires in... go to an Indy with my car drop off the tires...

Suppose to go in the next morning (yesterday) with my bike to have them mounted and installed...

I get there and there is a note on the door saying that there was a death in the family and he'll be closed until 5-20-08...

So now my bike sets... back tire is slicker than a baby's ***.... with two brand new skins I can't get to....

Sometimes life just makes you wanna say... WTF!

Understand the frustration. But when you go into to get the tires, if you take a sympathy card with you, you may impact the guy more than you know. May wind up having a friend for life.

Sugar vs. Vinegar, Take your pick. I do share your frustration, but what can you do. Don't burn any bridges

i left my bike at my indy who is about 2 blocks from my house, said my front tire would be changed and i could pick it up same day. I dropped it off at 10AM.

came back, shop was closed. it stayed closed for 5 days, when it was open again he didnt recall it ever being closed, completely ignored me when i brought it up.

my bike was my only transportation then so i missed some school and work.

I hear what some of you are saying...

But I can't say I would have handled the situation the same way as he did...

Its not like I want to hang him by his ***** are anything... but still...

A simple phone call would have been nice.... I could have been in JosephGarcia shoes and it being my only transportation...

Some of you will see my point others will not...

Thats the way it goes....

FWIW....buy some tools, a lift and do your own wrenchin'. Tires are a different deal though....maybe the dealer?

Take it to a dealer who has tires in stock. Wait for dealer to change them. Put your new tires on next time.
