RE: Gravel Road riding???
My driveway is just over 500 foot, all downhill also have plenty of dirt roads I drive several times a week.SinceI drive my 1200 Custom daily it gets plentyof time on gravel. It doens't seem to bother anything. Take your time, no rolling hard on the throttle, watch for those huge rocks the size of baseballs. Also don't run it with rigid struts or you will throw your passenger off...don't ask me how I know.

RE: Gravel Road riding???
Thanks for the info.
I have no concerns about my ability on the road.
There will be very little traffic, some potholes, I take my time on this stretch of road anyways, as there is usually wildlife. Not fun to hit a deer or bear[:@]
I will take it for sure, since it supposed to be fairly dry, there should be no mud to worry about.
My biggest concern is parking the bike at the cabin. Just the first two minutes though, as there is no hard surface for the stand, until I can grab a paving stone from the beach & run back with it.

Saving $100 is reason enough and hard packed dirt is no problem w/common sense.
