Default What's the BEST Service Manual to buy?

Is there a better and more detailed book than the Harley service manual for my 2005 XL883C sporty, or would the Harley service manual be the best?

I think the FM is the best and the forums also. Tim

I have always had great suscess with the HD Manual. It explains things very well, and what I don't understand, my local dealer mechanic is willing to explain.

Regards,

Bill

Go with the factory manual. It's better than others .

I agree with TC. The factory manual is very detailed and worth the expense. I always go ahead and purchase a parts book for my bikes too so I know exactly what I'm looking for when I go to the dealer. If you have the part # it's easier to call around to find what you need.

Yup! I agree about the factory manual. What questions it doesn't answer are basically intuitive and figured out pretty easily. The exploded diagrams are worth a fortune sometimes, and the step-by-step instructions are fairly good. Order it from Chicago Harley or Surdykes and you'll save yourself 20% off the $48.00 MSRP.
