I recommend the HD QD standard height, clear. I tried the lower screen and had too much wind in the face. I'm 5' 8" and can see over the top and still can hunch down enough to get under the rain. There is almost no buffeting. Hardwear is attractive and easy to release. Overall, it is well worth the extra bucks.

I have a Quick-Release Detachable Compact Windshield - Standard-Height - Clear # 58063-04 for sale. I attached a link below to craigslist showing and telling about it. I will be in Murphy, NC on May 24 and 25th for a family ride in the Smokey Mountains. If you are interested I will bring it with me for you to see. Let me know.

I'm gonna buck the trend, here...I LIKE having the wind in my face, but not on my chest. I have the HD quick release Compact low shield. I don't notice a lot of buffeting from the wind. I'm not saying I don't get buffeted...I'm saying I don't notice it. For me, the standard height shields are right in my line of sight, and I find that extremely annoying. I had Memphis Shades 17" on a Honda Shadow, and I think, FOR ME, that was the perfect height. I've never felt like a head bobber toy when riding...except in 30+ mph cross winds at 70 mph with a modular helmet. The heavier the helmet, and the more the crosswind, the more head buffeting I feel. But it's not nearly as annoying for me as having the top edge of a shield in my line of sight. I don't usually ride with "straight back chair" posture, and I ride highways pretty much daily, so my shield stays on. I wish my Compact shield was a little taller sometimes, especially in the rain, but it serves MY PARTICULAR needs well. YMMV
