that's a good mod. You might want to check out some marine lighter set-ups, those are waterproof, unlike the one you have there. I just wish I hadthought of that mod. I hate to stop just to light a smoke.

No, but I sealed the back of the assembly with some silicone. Since the lighter is in a horizontal position I don't expect it to trap any significant amount of water and worse case the lighter assembly is easy enough to replace and only cost $6.95.

I've done this before on outdoor RV vehicles and had them last 5+ years. My bike does spend the night in a gargage so I'm not to worried about it corroding only getting wet in the rain occasionally.

 

Where ya gonna put the ash tray.........p.s...I just got one of those AAA battery lighters you where promoting a few months ago,great lighter,but It's not to cool when your smoke pulls out yer mouth stuck In the little trap door[:@]
