Default So I lost the chrome bit that covers up the battery and the fuse box

because the damn thing would never stay on. I was riding down the highway and I hear... dink, dink..... dink.

I look in my rear view mirror and see the cover flipping away into oblivion.

So, other than shelling out $90 for a new cover that is just gonna fall off anyways, do I have any other options?

Well known problem, drill a small hole on the top of the battery cover and zip tie it to the frame.

Zip ties man! That is the way to go or use the removable locktite (BLUE) on your screws next time...

Only had trouble with battery cover flopping open when I am running over 80. Going to drill the plastic clip and drop a short zip tie thru the hole tonight since my buddies like to burn the roads up and we're all heading down to MB bike week. I think the zip tie idea would work best.
