That's true but because the jerk ran he screwed himself over.

However, Joe you need to make sure you stick to one story though. If the details change you're not gonna hold much in this. But if you find the kid i doubt he'll put up much of fight being that it was a hit and run, and I'm sure those girls that were with him won't be backing him up because of the hit and run. being that if you wanted to the cops can be there and regardless of what happened a hit and run screws him over.

Why not have the stealership quote you on the damages? I'm sure that price will really make the kid **** his pants.

Careful how you get payment from this kid. If he is high school (under 18), you could end up a lot worse off than you are now. Most likely it will be his parents who end uppaying anyway. Sorry to hear about your luck or lack there of.

 

Definitely confront him for insurance information. If he does not provide it, call the police and report it as a hit and run. And then let them sort it out. The law will not look kindly on your beating up a high school kid.

Sorry about the dump man. At least you are OK and he did not run you over and drive away.

At least you are ok. Parking lots don't have the same rules as public roads.
At the risk of sounding unsympathetic, Unfortunatley, the only witnesses other than you and the driver are the chicks in his jeep. They are not going to remember anything beneficial to you. You are just going to be the kid that pulled out in front of them from behind the dumpster and dumped his bike. When you go around a blind corner without extablishing if anyone is coming from that side, you are inviting an accident. Personally I assume everyone is trying to hit me and drive accordingly.

Obviously assulting a minor is not your path to financial gain or even your freedom.

Your luck will improve with more attention to accident avoidance and less expectation that others are trying to avoid you.

yea well obviously i dont know his exact speed 25 and 30 are estimates only. I do know it was way too fast for a parking lot.

here is a crappy pic to show how it happened, becuase im not very good with words.

the blue oval is me and the pink rectangle is him, the blue path is what he was supposed to do regardless of if he saw some one coming or not., and there were no people their to block his path.

the dark purple path is what he did and the x is where we met. he rushed out from behind the dumpster pretty fast, i was doing 5 mph, parking lot speed haha, becuase i know alot of ppl back out without looking, so i was being careful for myself
