I hear what you are saying but we as riders have to set a standard so to speak. It is fools like this that are causing our insurance rates to go up because they thought that it was cool to do what they do then get injured because of their actions. This can cause ripple effects across the insurance business and will either cause rates to rise or companies to enact rule changes and or cancel policies all together. Why do you think some insurance companies either will not ensure certain bikes and or age/gender combinations or make prohibitivly expensive to do so.

 

Kind of like the guy wearing shorts and flip flop and going to Starbucks.

I agree with what OldFenderGuy said. I really aint got time to worry about others... The way I see it, they'll eventually fall and when they do, they'll learn why we wear jeans/boots... Personally I somtimes cruise around in my shorts and T-shirts as long as I am within
a few miles of home.

If I really took the time to put some thought to it, I guess I don't know what I think is worse. Some yuppie on a bike with flip flops or crocks or someone like I saw the other day in a Chili's restaurant. Wife and I drove up there in our car and saw one Heritage parked out front. We sat in the bar while waiting for a table and over on the other end was a dude dressed in jeans/HD chaps/HD boots/HD tshirt with harley leather vest/harley bandana and when he walked by us, his earing and belt buckle also were Harley products.

In sarcasm my wife says, "Hmmmm I wonder if he owns the Harley outside."

I have to admit, I would have put money on the idea that he was probably wearning Harley boxers too. Probably HD logo socks too.
