Default Brake line too short for higher bars?

I have read many posts on how people were using the stock cables to put the mini apes on their sporties. I recently got my Biltwell Frisco bars in, and they are actually a little shorter than the mini apes for a Nightster. I MIGHT be able to use most of the stock cables but I don't think the brake line will reach.

you have to bend the metal portion of the brake line... by doing this you can muster up another 2 or sometimes 3 in depending ont he bike

The brake line is the cheapest of all... I'd replace it if it were me... and I did by the way...

Actually I got all new longer cables and brake line.... but thats me...

Put a set of 12" apes on the wife's bike this winter. Replaced all the cables and the front brake line. If memory serves me all the cables cost me about $130 and the brake line and both fittings were only about $50.

I had to do that to make the Nightster bars work. Did give me quite a bit of extra line.

I'm having 1200L bars put on my 1200C. All lines need to be replaced.

I actually did a 12" ape hanger this last weekend, I kept all original cables on there and changed out the brake line. Seemed kinda shady to bend a front brake line..considering that's like 70% of your braking power, it should be dependable so I just replaced it with a 42" line. Very easy to change out and bleed.

Anyone have a picture of how the metal portion of the brake line can be bent to gain some length? I'm at work right now but I remember that would be an issue for getting new bars on my 883 Custom. I'm having trouble picturing in my head how bending the metal portion would get more length available?
