Default Ariat or Harley Boots

Looking at getting some black boots. Ariat is 145 with HD around the 145 range. I can get HD on Ebay for 90 pluss. Now I am normally not a cusomer ***** when it comes to buying things. I buy all different kind of brands. My jacket that I wear when riding is a Icon, wich I like alot better than the HD ones. Which boots would you go with? I am on vaction right now and I am close to a HD shop in Peionforge, TN and a alot of boot stores around.

If the Ariat's are laced, don't get them. I have some I was riding horses with before I got the HD and thought they would make good motorcycle boots. The laces don't stay laced. Nothing better than a boot lace in the belt at 80 mph.

+1 on the Red Wings.

I've got a pair I've been wearing for about a year now. Very comfortable, and excellent traction. Holding up extremely well.

Looking at pull up boots. No laces, really don't like them. I will keep redwing in mind if I see them while I am out looking. I really don't like spending 145 so the cheaper I can find a good boot the better.

I like the XElement boots I got from Leather Up but unfortunately I don't see on their site anymore.

I also wear my work boots sometimes which are Bates Enforcer ultra lites which are a sidezip up tactical boot that are very light and can be had for about $70 online at Bass Pro Shops. See here http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/st...=SearchResults
and here is a pic of them

Pretty much not wanting to be decked out in nothing but HD apparel. HD makes some good stuff but if I'm not being paid to have HD logos all over my body I prefer not too.

I got some Timberland lace up boots last fall- worked great in cold weather - for me the lade ups keep my ankles warmer - pull on boots seem drafty.

I have some Justin work boots that I wear while riding. They are essentially like Redwings or Ariats. I love them. Plus I'm in Texas, so I like to represent the local brands.
