Ariat or Harley Boots

RE: Ariat or Harley Boots
Ariat makes some VERY good boots. I can't comment on their motorcycle boots, but their typical riding (horseback) boots are phenomenally comfortable for walking, working and riding. They also last for friggin' ever!
Dunno about the Harlet brand boots, as they don't fit my 11EEEE clodhoppers - but even if they did, I'd probably avoid them because I'm not too terribly interested in paying good money to be a walking billboard.

RE: Ariat or Harley Boots
My two cents:
My HD boots are clunky and too heavy. I have Ariat riding boots (horseback riding) which are much more comfortable, and I have Doc Martins that are also much more comfortable.
I've had my HD boots for 2 years, and worn them enough to have them broken in by now - but they're still incredibly stiff and I drag my feet when I wear them. I wish my "Old West" cowboy boots had rubber soles, but until I get those put on - I'll be in my Ariats.

I like the XElement boots I got from Leather Up but unfortunately I don't see on their site anymore.
I also wear my work boots sometimes which are Bates Enforcer ultra lites which are a sidezip up tactical boot that are very light and can be had for about $70 online at Bass Pro Shops. See here http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/st...=SearchResults
and here is a pic of them

I can attest to those. I'm wearing them right now. They're my duty boots. I love them. Comfortable, and very lightweight. Seem to hold up well and even the soft rubber sole is lasting longer than I thought they would.

RE: Ariat or Harley Boots
I have two pairs of Ariats that I ride in. One brown pair with a sling heel and one pair that is black with a walking heel. I wear the black ones 90% of the time. When my lovely bride and I get off the bike and walk around some where, she always has to change out of her HD boots into something more comfortable.
I pretty much am sold on the Ariats and will not be changing any time soon. You can also get some great deals at http://www.sierratradingpost.com/Shoes-and-Boots.html
I have bought a ton of things from them, especially when I lived overseas. Very good about returns etc.
