Hmmm, Maybe I have just yet to be pulled over on base or something but the guards at the gate haven't said a thing about me not having turn signals or mirrors. But I'm also in the Air Force so they're not as strict as the Army.

 

They also have to base the rules on state laws....forgot that part. I think they still require you to wear full gear on base regardless though.

Yup, they require helmet, gloves, contrasting colors and some good boots or shoes over the ankle. I've been stationed out in Mountain Home, Id for the last 4 years.

I was out at Fort Lewis in WA, near McChord AFB the longest. I've also been at Ft. Jackson, SC, Fort Benning, GA and Fort Bragg (Pope AFB), NC.

Did 6 years and got out last Feb.

 

they did away with "contrasting colors" here at Eglin. It's really starting to **** off the bikers on base. We gotta have:
DOT helemt, leather full fingered gloves, over the ankle shoes w/ hard sole OR boots, shatter proof eyewear (regular sunglasses work tho), now here's the annoying part...DAYTIME we can wear bright red, blue, yellow, or white long sleeve shirts but they have to have so many inches of that color or it won't work which is stupid cause I'm not measuring my f'in shirt to ride my bike, then at night we have to wear reflective vest.

It used to be contrasting colors, which meant I could wear my BDUs and they said it was OK. Now I wear a white shirt with a logo on the back and they won't let me through the gate. Pisses me off.

Whiskey - That is really gay..I hate how people are getting so **** nowadays! Measuring a shirt..because that whole inch more is gonna matter ? I don't see the reasoning really. Anyway..that's the military way I guess.
